Homeschool Success Stories is about highlighting the fact that there are many ways to educate your child.  There are even many definitions of success.  Homeschooling gives parents the opportunity to customize their children’s education according to the needs, wants and abilities of the child and the family. We want to show that there are lots of ways to homeschool and be successful with it.  Everyone has different needs, methods, interests and desires.  There is no one right perfect way to do this thing.  And we talk to the people doing it!!

We like to hear from the parents in the trenches doing the work to give their children the education, skills, character and confidence they will need to live happy, productive and fulfilling lives.  We talk to academic homeschoolers, unschoolers, worldschoolers, families with many children, families with a single child, classical homeschoolers, Charlotte Mason homeschoolers, secular homeschoolers, religious homeschoolers, eclectic homeschoolers and whoever else is willing to share their experiences.

We talk about curriculum, experiences, activities, personalities, resources, languages, travel, schedules, organization with real live parents who have either been through the process or are in the trenches now.  We talk about mistakes and successes. We talk about recommendations moving forward.  The most fascinating part is that no 2 homeschooling families are exactly the same.

Come listen and learn from others, implement what you like and leave the rest.  If you have experience with homeschooling and would like to share, please sign up here!

Amber Semerau is the interviewer.  She is the mother of 8 children.  The 2 oldest have graduated homeschool and are working on their bachelor degrees in Music and Recreation respectively.  The family has used many different resources in their homeschool.  In addition to homeschooling, the kids have all attended public schools at various times including one year in public school in France.  They have used online schools, living books, text books, Classical studies, lots of traveling and learning languages.  They have been living in France, but are waiting out the Covid-19 pandemic in the USA waiting to see if they will return to France or stay in America.  Amber hopes you enjoy the podcast!
